It is good to have a big beard and take care of it like it is your own child, but do not forget the rest of the face. As much as you think that the beard is the focal point of your head, you should also consider some other prime real estate that needs to be taken care of too, yes! I am talking about the skin on your face. Here are some simple, but effective four-step skin care routine a beardsman can follow every day.

Cleanse

So, the best way to keep your skin clear is to use the men’s face wash daily. The best thing is to use it twice a day, when you first wake up in the morning and before going to the bed or after the gym session. You will never want to end your day with sweat sitting in your pores and oil. Before you are going to wash your face, you will need to open the pores by rinsing your face for thirty seconds with warm water. By doing this, it will cause the pores to expand slightly and helping make sure that the face wash can get inside to clear out any dead skin build up, oil, or bacteria.

Softly rub the face wash in circles all over your face for thirty seconds and try not to pull down the skin, as you do not want to cheer stretching of the skin. If you do not wash your beard with a natural shampoo or beard wash then you don’t need to hesitate to use the face wash to cleanse your beard as well. I won’t suggest you to use a beard soap or beard wash on your face’s because these products are designed for a different purpose and could dry out your face.

Scrub

The scrub is often called exfoliating, using it for at least 3 to 4x a week will not only help remove dead skin cells, but it will also help loosen up and soften your beard. First, you need to wash your face, then use a quarter size amount of men’s face scrub and softly rub the scrub over your skin and beard.

Hydrate

After scrubbing and cleansing, the next step is to moisturize your skin with a face moisturizer twice a day. Try to search and use the best face moisturizers that will keep your skin hydrated and help to keep your skin looking firm and energized. Just apply the moisturizer all over the face, apply it to those special areas that get dry most often. Rubbing the moisturizer into your beard will help you to keep it hydrated as well.

Prevention

The skin close to the eyes is the first part of the face that starts aging for most people. Using an eye cream in the morning can reduce dark circles and puffiness, and using it at night will help prevent wrinkles while you sleep.

Another step of prevention is to reduce sun exposure. So, you need to stay out of the sun as much as it is possible. Even using the SPF, the sun will harm your skin badly. So, you need to make sure that you apply SPF liberally after every 45 minutes.
